Lection & Performance
Text and sound performance
featuring Kelvin Sholar USA musician | Ryo Fujimoto JAP musician | Jimi Tenor FIN musician | Jessie Kleemann GRL poet | Julián Herbert MEX poet | El Congo Allen CUB musician
Electronic music merges with poetry, genres of text and music are interwoven and form new kinds of sound. The compositions of Grammy winner Kelvin Sholar, who unites Soul with Classical and Electro, enter into a dialogue with the poetry of Inuit poet Jessie Kleemann. The Japanese musician Ryo Fujimoto is a whirling human-electro dervish. With the Mexican poet and rock musician Julián Herbert, Fujimoto puts on a media firework show of text, sound and projection. Jimi Tenor’s sound mix of Jazz, Easy Listening and House is interpolated with the sounds of Cuban trumpeter and percussionist El Congo Allen.
